4×4 Dynamic Action Team™

Team Building on the Move

Immerse yourself in sights, sounds and smells of the wild. Surround yourself with towering forest, plunging waterfalls, crystal clear rock pools, lush flora and wild fauna. The tropical rain forests are steeped with the riches of nature – colourful birds, brightly hued insects, and flora and fauna a hundred million years in the making. All of these are just next door to the bright lights of Singapore.

EDU takes advantage of this rich, wonderful and untouched wilderness as a stage for its recreation and learning activities. We have explored and earmarked great sites for group activities. Our sites are accessible by 4×4 vehicles – no hordes of tourists, no boardwalks, no tarmac roads, no shops, just nature in her wildest.

Use this little piece of paradise to rejuvenate, reinvent, re-look, readjust and renew yourself. Come out of it all with a brand new perspective of life lived in the concrete jungle.

Dynamic Team Building On-The-Move

If your corporation is looking for a new and exciting team building program, “4X4 off-road Dynamic Action Team” is definitely a good and effective programme. In the fast changing business environment nowadays, the team has to be resilient, cooperative and able to react to changes fast. This training concept uses 4X4 off-road activities as an approach in experiential learning to enable participants to learn to work as a team, overcome obstacles, prepare for the unexpected and react to changes on-the-move.

Nature and You Together

4x4-picWe have the sites, the native guides and support of the rangers. Service and safety are top on our list. We help organisations to achieve their goals in a rainforest setting. We set the stage far from all distractions; in a place where you can open your mind, inspiring and motivating confidence, trust, camaraderie, cohesion, creativity and determination.

We help plan your itinerary, garner logistics and resources, get you to your destination, help achieve your individual, group and/or corporate aims and pack you home safely.

Nature and Comfort on the Move

Our 4WD camping safaris should satisfy most intrepid adventurers. We provide purpose-built 4WD vehicles that are equipped for comfortable and safe operations in the rugged Malaysian rainforest.
We erect comfortable and safe camping sites assured to ease fear and apprehension. For example, we install perimeter lighting to keep out all curious wildlife, so that you can gaze at the million stars in the galaxy and dream away on comfortable raised safari beds. Our camping menus are pretty chic. We provide local and Asian fare, with continental and American recipes thrown in for good measure. At times we get local chefs to cook their best dishes on site. In short, we vary the menu; make the dishes appetizing and nutritious so that meals in the jungle can also be wonderful. We serve Red and White wines, and beer for dinner on tables and chairs (not laps and stools).

4×4 & Nature

We operate the “softcore” type of 4×4 program i.e. there is rarely a need to bash through virgin jungle, chop down trees, etc. We use the existing oil palm plantation routes around Mawai and the logging trails at Sedili. The 4×4 is a tool for us to carry out the learning objectives without causing any destruction to the natural environment. In fact, through this 4×4 program, participants will also be exposed to the many environmental problem facing us e.g. illegal logging, clearing of virgin jungle for oil palm plantation, river pollution, etc. We also hope that through this program, participants not only learn about their own organisation issues but also learn about nature and the bigger environmental issues around us.

Some of the 4×4 Dynamic Action Team sites

Ulu Sedili Falls (Mersing)

ulu-sedili-1It’s a two-hour drive from Singapore through the shades of oil-palm trees. Once off road, we travel through unused logging tracks into the virgin rainforest and begin to experience the sights, sounds and smells of a different world. We traverse log bridges across many rivers and streams. We make camp by the banks of a slow lazy river and enjoy her cool clear water; swimming, fishing and catching frogs for porridge supper. After a good meal and a night’s restful slumber, we trek down to this unspoiled cascading paradise to relax under her cool spray, unknotting the stress and worries of the concrete jungle.

Eco Camp at Mawai

ulu-sedili-2MAWAI Eco Camp, is situated by the Sedeli river, at Mawai Lama, north of Kota Tinggi town. It is designed by Singaporean architect, Mr Tay Kheng Soon, (former S’pore Scout’s Commissioner). The unique part of the camp is that, there are no wall panels, to obstruct your view of the surrounding forest.

Mawai Eco Camp is designed for the outdoor enthusiasts, youth/students, adults etc with the objective to instil outdoor initiation, an eye for nature and also, you are taught by experienced wardens to recognize birds, mammals, plants, trees, outdoor skills, campcraft, first-aid, orienteering, jungle survival and conservation. Excellent for weekend retreat and you are instantaneously absorbed by the vibrant jungle atmosphere and the “ulu” ambience.

Lakeside Romp (Endau Rompin)
lakeside-rompin-1The Endau-Rompin Park requires little introduction. Endau-Rompin may be the newest nature reserve in Malaysia, yet being over one hundred million years old, it is one of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest, where the fauna and flora have evolved into exotic species found nowhere else in the world.

During our adventure, we will travel by 4 wheel drive vehicles. Along the journey, we will pass through a Native Settlement, and stop at the scenic Mahkota Falls. This is a fun-filled family excursion.

tigercave1Tiger Cave Falls (Endau Rompin)

During this excursion you will visit the falls, the Red river of Sungai Kacah and Love River where you find natural stones in shapes of hearts. Sorry souvenirs are out of the question. The trip is ideal for families and the get-to-gather outings. The name “Tiger Cave Falls” came locally, as tigers are said to sunbath on ledges that protrude out of this 7-tier waterfall.
