Sungei Pelepah Kiri runs across Panti Forest Reserve just next to the famous Kota Tinggi Waterfall. It is relatively pristine and idyllic site as compared to the overcrowded KT Waterfall.
Trekking along and in the river is fun and challenging. There are numerous waterfalls as one goes higher upstream. It will take 3 hours to reach the source of the waterfall at the summit of Bukit Sisek that is meant for proficient trekkers only as the trek is relatively tough. Furthermore, the obstacles and rocks are also slippery and it requires some level of experience in rock climbing. Otherwise, for novice trekkers, the trek can complete at the second waterfall where trekkers can have a cool dip and swim at the mini pools.
