Dr Tay Boon Hou

Tay Boon Hou is currently the Director and Project Manager of IN Technology Pte Ltd. He oversees the Company and pioneers two strategic research activities in the company, namely, Artificial Intelligence and Remote Sensing. He is also responsible for developing PC-based orbiting and geostationary meteorological groundstations that could easily be integrated into existing meteorological environment. Some of these systems are used in Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) for regional weather monitoring and used in the joint program in Bogor by Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA) and Indonesia’s Ministry of Forestry for forest fire detection.

 

Tay Boon Hou received his Bachelor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Hons) from Queen Mary, University of London in United Kingdom. He also won the Drapers Scholarship from Queen Mary in 1986. Tay Boon Hou received his Doctor of Philosophy in Graduate College of Management from Southern Cross University in Lismore, Australia.
